IKEA Knitted Bowl Covers

This pattern is to knit covers for Ikea Fryken baskets (seagrass boxes with lids ) giving you a striped chunky texture bowl as shown.  These have been available at IKEA for some years now and alot of homes will already have these.  Search google for “Ikea Fryken”, available from Ikea, eBay and Amazon – these are required to achieve the shape as shown in the images.

The pattern uses Super Bulky/Super Chunky Yarn worked in stripes which gives a lovely texture.  Some knitted bowls can be quite loose, by using the basket as a base it gives a solid neat professional finish.

Knit them to match your home and room colours, they look great on tables and cabinets.  The pattern is for the medium and small bowl from the set, it does not include the large.

Pattern is a .pdf in colour with full instructional images.  Pattern available in my ravelry shop here.

The pattern could also be knitted in one colour if you prefer.  It knits up quickly and the finished result is a bowl/basket that’s completely covered so even the inside and the base look good too!.  Pattern is to cover the medium and small bowl.

Written Colour pattern with detailed instructional images.  Available in my ravelry store here.

Available from Ikea stores and online. Search for IKEA Fryken. Pattern is to cover medium and small bowl Completed Knitted Bowl covers.
