Flat Freddie Knitted Toy

A fun stash knit.  Free Knitting Pattern for Flat Freddie.

This pattern for Freddie is a stash knit and is knitted flat (no dpns) with the seam running up the back. The muzzle and features are added, then the arms and ears are sewn on last after filling.  Pattern uses dk yarn and the ones shown are knitted on 3.5mm needles.  Depending what materials you have available, toy eyes and a nose can be added or you can embroider the features using yarn you already have.

Its a fun little stash knit which can be personalised and embellished how you wish. Each one comes up looking different depending on the yarn so they all have a different look and personality ! Great little gift or desk buddy. (I have a little gang of these now after creating and testing the pattern!)

Materials Needed

DK Yarn
3.5mm needles
Toy eyes and nose (optional)
Toy Stuffing
Needle and Scissors

Finished size is approximately – 15cm (5.5inches) high.  I did find yarn that my acrylic yarn did come up slightly larger than those with wool content but not of any significant difference.

Pattern link is below – you will get the full .pdf tutorial and written pattern so you can follow along.
