A quick knit for an idea to decorate presents, parcels, bottles or hang on the tree.\u00a0 You can use the finished item as it is or you can knit 2 and sew them together with a small amount of stuffing in-between, this gives a 3d version which looks more like a star.\u00a0 \"\"<\/p>\r\n

There are so many coloured and textured yarns, experiment with stash and scraps you may already have.\u00a0 A fast little knit that you can decorate and embellish or leave as it is.\u00a0 I made some yarn “tinsel” to wrap around the tree and used little star buttons, use whatever you have to personalise them.\u00a0 Pattern uses DK (8ply) yarn and 3.5mm needles.<\/p>\r\n

Finished size is approx. 6\/7cm – 2.5 inches – its a bit of homemade personal touch to put on somebody’s gift !.<\/p>\r\n

Pattern is written below.\u00a0 It is a beginner knit, there are decreases which are worked by just knitting 2 stitches together and also casting on at beginning of the row, there is help on this here<\/a> in the how to… section from a previous pattern.<\/p>\r\n

I like the curl they have from the garter stitch meaning they don’t have a right or wrong side, it makes them look like a star or a tree.\u00a0 If you want them flatter, give them a quick press or leave under a book overnight.<\/p>\r\n
